Welcoming guests to America's oldest city.
St. Augustine, Florida proudly welcomes millions of visitors each year. Guests who begin their St. Augustine experience in the Visitor Information Center enjoy a multi-screen, environmental media presentation. This nine-minute film, Walk the Streets of History, explores various activities throughout the city: local attractions, beaches and outdoor recreation, historical sites, museums, shopping, dining, and lodging.
The eight-screen program is presented in a 4x2 array. Original production with the RED Epic camera allowed video to be captured at five times normal High Definition resolution. This original video is seamlessly displayed across the entire canvas, and is interspersed with archival video and still imagery.
Visitors see, hear, and feel the excitement of the content: a cannon firing, a slow motion close-up of a golf shot, and a sword fight between historic interpreters. The program runs on a continuous loop in the gallery.
