Becoming Clarksville

Customs House Museum & Cultural Center

Celebrating a community's history while pondering its future.

Becoming Clarksville: Honoring Legacies of Leadership is a permanent exhibit in the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center in Clarksville, Tennessee. Relative Scale created two interactive experiences that share the stories of the men and women who have made a positive and lasting impact on this community, prompting guests to consider what contributions they could make to ensure a prosperous future for their city.

The Clarksville Forum is a social, multi-touch interactive table experience. This program engages up to four guests at a time by inviting them to consider and respond to topics that will impact the future of Clarksville. Guests choose from a stream of questions related to city planning, healthcare, traffic congestion, job growth, and more. They can discover and "like" ideas from city leaders and fellow citizens, enter their own suggestions and opinions, or answer poll questions.

The Clarksville Forum also serves a larger purpose for the museum by helping to strengthen its position as an ideas laboratory for the city.

The Clarksville Jaycees Legacy interactive invites guests to test their knowledge of Jaycees history in a fun, fast-paced trivia game, or explore the history of this civic organization through an interactive timeline.
