Force Factory Exhibit

Exploring the impact of Earth’s natural forces.
Museum
Force Factory, the Anniston Museum of Natural History’s children’s exhibit, introduces young visitors to the forces that shape the natural world.

The exhibit explores how Earth’s ecosystems are influenced by these forces and their role in the development of life. Relative Scale created four media experiences that illustrate these themes through hands-on exploration and discovery.

Guests explore ocean habitats and the marine life within them with the Submarine interactive. Using a joystick in the submarine’s cockpit, guests navigate underwater to uncover different creatures and content.

The Water Tube further examines the ocean’s depths by presenting guests with a porthole view into three distinct ocean layers. As marine animals specific to each layer swim into view, guests are prompted to touch the screen to learn more.

Pilot a helicopter over a forest, monitoring wildfires and controlled burns in the Helicopter interactive. As they approach a fire, they choose to extinguish or fuel it, learning more about how they are contained.

In the Fire Tube interactive, guests experiment with fire starters and extinguishers to see how they affect flame size and temperature.
