Our studio has been leaning heavily into WebAR. Being able to enjoy Augmented Reality across device platforms—directly in your web browser instead of having to download an app—results in a user experience that is efficient and nearly frictionless.
For our 2021 holiday card we designed and modeled an interactive snow globe and then activated it as a WebAR experience using 8th Wall. We began with a mood board and sketches to help us visualize the concept before illustrating every feature in the globe including the buildings, downtown Raleigh landmarks, trees, and snow. The illustrations were then modeled into 3D assets and developed in 8th Wall using A-Frame.
